In the envisioning phase, one of the fundamentals of the project’s success is planted, that is creation and rallying of a project group on the basis of uniform vision development of the project's objectives and tasks. At this stage a nucleus of a project group is formed and documents on the general description of the project's frameworks are prepared.

In the planning phase, the major work is done on drawing up the project plans. It includes preparation by the project group of the functional specification, design development, working plans preparation, estimation of the project costs and of the development terms of the project's various components.

In the developing phase, the project group is focused on creating a component solution (including both the documentation, and the program code).

During the stabilizing phase, testing of the developed solution is made. The project group corrects errors and prepares the issue of the solution.

During this phase the project group introduces technologies and components of the solution, stabilizes the introduced solution, passes down operation to the support and maintenance team and meets the customer's final approval of the project's results.
